Ok, counting down from 5...

5) Organgrinder #9 - DJ Orange Peel - Crackhead / Chemical Warfare.

One side dark, one side old skool but both 'avin it. I'd say this is probably the Organgrinder record I cain the most. Love it! Chemical Warfare just pips Crackhead for best side IMO. What ever happened to Mr Orange Peel anyway?

4) Prolekult #24 - Chris Liberator - Cat's Eye.

Fu*king seriously fu*king fu*ked up sounding tracks which in my eyes means fu*king great stuff! Twisted...

3) Routemaster #6 - Lochi - New wave of acid techno.

Dug this out after reading Henry's mini review on his website and I have to agree, this is an awesome track. This track sucks you into the darkness and looses you completely. Shame the B-sides not up to much, otherwise this release would probably be one of the best ever.

2) Cluster #15 - Mizbehavior - No Attitude.

Classic Cluster this. Always reminds me of seeing all 3 Liberator's spin an amazing set at the now long gone club Enzo's in Sailsbury and a HUGE free party afterwards. Great vocal, great drop, great track.

And finally...

1) Boscaland #39 - The Weathermen - Don’t Stop!

Yes thats right, I own a copy again! Some of you may remember from a while back that I snapped my copy clean in half in a freak accident. Well thanks to eBay and some nutter who wanted to part with his copy, she's sat back on my decks at last!

Ok, what tracks are you going to be digging out this week? :?:

from 5 to 1

5. Kektex - The next phase (Tec)

Welcome to the next phase...

4. Quantifier vs. Kektex - Pulsar/Kektex (Pull the strings)

Kektex side is THE funkiest acid track i've EVER heard. if you dont have it, get it.

3. Digital Destroyer - Motor city (Cluster)

Chuggy, dark and evil... one of the best cluster b-sides.

2. Sarcoblast - Roland Abuse (Routemaster)

Tribal acid anyone?

1. Kektex - Lock (Routemaster)

Because this record defines what acid techno is all about for me. dark, evil with f**ked up edits all over it. not manic fast, but still heavier than most 150bpm stormers. Henry & Lawrie get all my respect for this one.

Antidote 1 - Here comes the hitman - Tarball & Lungbutter Mix
Although the acidline isn't that loud, I still can't believe the drumbeat they laid down on this track.. Simply amazing stuff

Bionic Orange #9 - Rowland the Bastard - Walking into Windows
This is one of those definitive acid techno records I think everyone should listen to when they want to fully understand what acid techno is.

Boscaland #48 - K90 - Trash Compactor Remix
"How do they work, work.." I LOVE THIS RECORD!! I used to open all my sets with this classic ;)

COSHH #1 - Cannabis Monkey's - Control my Mind
I personally think that DDR has the best acid lines in ALL of his releases and this one is a f*cking monster.

2) Strobe - Breakout - Eukatech - http://www.discogs.com/release/27116

5) Smoke System - Smog EP - Pull The Strings - http://www.discogs.com/release/227697

All utterly under rated killers IMO. Why on earth are there no tracks made like this any more? No boring loops, just nicly spaced percussion, killer basslines, quirky sounds and FX, and some awesome acid.

Seriously, the SUF Collective's producers need to be going back through their old tracks and taking a listen to just how awesome and out there their sounds were originally.

I'm bored shitless with the stuff thats coming out at the moment I really am.

Viva le old stuff! :)

Fu*k off, I've always said I've loved Guy's older tracks. I just don't think he produces tracks of the same standard he used to. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that. In fact, I know I'm not alone.
