I've had a look at MySpace, and I don't quite understand how it's any different to having a website?

Right.

I'm still quite unclear on why I should join.

I have a website, and MSN, and I use forums like this...

Can it offer me anything unique?

dont know, not looked into it too much.

its just another useful promotional tool i suppose, you might not get anything out of it, but if it costs you nothing, then why not take a chance with it

Do you have to agree to a EULA, or any T&Cs, and if so did you read them?

1. its free.....nuf said really
2. you have the ability to invite people to be your "friends" which means you can post bullitins to people that are interested and network real good.
3. you can start or join various groups for dissucussion and post info directly to people that want to know
4. its free
5. loads and loads of people / dj's / bands / promoters and producers are on there and you get gigs and chat to fit birds, even minty from east enders, and my personal favorite and bird on my friend list JENNA JAMESON!!!!! are on there how many of you ****s can say you have jenna jameson on your list of friends hhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! rockin!
6. its free

Yeah, though I'd watch what Terms & Conditions you're signing up for when something on the internet is "free".

This may well be perfectly benign, but you have to be careful.

MySpace just seems like a bit of a fad at the moment.

rowland the bastard

fad or no fad it works and your right whatch everything, but, your not giving any credit shit over so **** it, i think they make there doe off advertising which i havnt sen on things like friendster etc. the thing that makes my space different is one side of it is for people wanting to meet other people (like boa) and another side that is for bands / artists, so you have an industry meeting point for all sorts of geezers, and bird of course, you can post tracks, picks, listings etc, oh shit... did i mention YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY **** ALL!!!! no server...NADA so fad or no fad its good, and when the fad dies move onto the next man

I've been using for a couple of months now, and so far I've kind of lost interest in it. I think the main reason why I don't use it, is because I use it to promote myself as DJ. But since I haven't found too many people into acid techno I kind of gave up on the service. But since Mr. Bastard has started using it I'll have to send off a friends request and hopefully more if you guys on there since you're all into the same music as I am :)
