It acts pretty much the same as the fm7. Its quite nice if your after a nice FM synth. :D

You thinking of the right synth?

It's a subtractive synth with waveshaping and a modulation matrix... And it sounds gorgeous! It's not too hard to get to grips with either... Look for a review in one of the mags and pick up the basics from there...

Z3ta+ has six (I think) oscillators, each of which can be one of many basic waveforms - whuch can then be shaped with harmonically richifying goodness :)

It has a pair of filters, lots of mod options and a fair few LFOs and such - as well as an x-y pad...

Haven't found any FM synthesis on it though - yet - and it's not REALLY modular, just well put together ;)

The interface is blue-silver. It can sound like the Juno quite nicely, but also like a Virus - a little... It can come up with rich pads, hard acid, the wroks. It's ridiculously tweakable.

If you're interested in this synth, look at the Albino as well. This is similarly sweet - the effort here has gone into making the filtering sound as rich as the expensive hardware - rather than wave-shapey gimmicks ;)

:)
