Why doesnt Mark play any old skool sets? .....or does he? and i am missing them?
I am all for moving the scene forward and all that jazz but going back to the roots every now and again cant hurt. Look at M-Zone, he is playing the odd old skool set every now and then
There is a whole generation out there who hasnt heard this sound before, and it might make some producers think again about the Hard Trance sound thats about just now (which in my opinion is pretty boring) if the dj's start doing the odd old skool style sets and seeing the reactions? I think there is a need to change the sound of Hard Trance, and as has been said before, maybe take a few steps back the way to progress.
Does any one agree, or am i just a dreamer :?:
Right ramble over.

I think hard trance has totally gone down the pan in recent years. No tunes stand out as being classics anymore. What ever happened to the EDM Style Power Trance!!!! I think M-Zones having to play more and more oldskool sets as the recent hard trance/hardstyle stuff is getting shittyer and shittyer.

Theres no atmosphere in todays tunes, most of it sounds the same and cheap to me, though there are the odd few out there that sound promising, so maybe theres some hope

mark should answer your first couple of questions but i aint seen or heard anything oldskool from him in ages
tbh your a dreamer like the rest of us, aint never coming back, only as remember!
look at uk hardcore, completely changed more into the trancecore sound, still buzzing over 160bpms, and you got the gays over in spain with makina rubbish!! its all there but not german anymore.
this is a question on most people's mind all over the world!

i'm really sorry people. i read this thread and i almost feel ashamed that i am not.
but i just fell we have to go forward in music. it's just my humble opinion. i really have to go forward or i feel i'm not staying true to myself. i've done a few old school sets - actually probably twice this year, but these were for my real friends and times when i really felt it was right (ie dixtkruction).
forward is everything to me. i' m sooo sorry, it's just the way i am.

how is it moving forward when it is shit music?
seriously though, i agree with some other comments in the thread about the same old commercial waste being pumped out again and again - tunes with no feeling.
let's all move to germany and get it moving again ;)
it's not about living in the past - it's about keeping the quality!
let's face it... if you have an oak wood door, would you throw it away for mdf shite just for the sake of 'moving forward'
