What a bizarre question.
It`s not a competition.
And there are too many people doing different things to be rated "best"
However, in terms of who I find inspiring it would have to be
Franz Treichler
Arrovane
Trent Reznor
Luka Baumman
Innigo Kennedy
3D
Heiko Laux
Jorge Henze
erm, actually I could go on and on.
there is no number 1.

Has to be tiesto.
I just burst in to tears and hug people when ever his songs come on the radio.

Either him or Hellfish. I'm undecided.

he do not produce his own music.

he is just a klown (a big marketing strategy) in a circus full of money.

yeah no one is number 1 as it where, there are too many people doing too many different things to narrow it down totally, but i think its fair to say some people do stand out, and people obviously have their favourites

missed Speedy J and Inigo out whoops well reminded daniel son!

im surprised no one has mentioned Vince Watson.

This guy is absolutely incredible. I think his skills and great production talents are arousing suspicions in me that suspect he is actually trained in classical instruments prior to production. Or maybe those amazing chords he writes just comes from constant midi trial and error in the key editor? lol

Its hard to say as many guys have had a smoking hot year in terms of quality releases.
I will go with consistancy with this and say its a tie between D.A.V.E THE PLUMBER and PREACH.

Yeh he is good but I think he still has to be more consistent. He's made some very emotive and high quality tunes but he has also made alot of average and bland music too and until the good outways the bad I dont think he'd be number one or near that but some of his new tunes have been deadly. No. 1 of the echoes album sampler and his new record on superbra is hot to.

I dont think anyone is that consistent at the moment to be honest and I dont rate alot of the producers mentioned so I'll hold back my favs for the moment.

you have a good poiint in mentioning consistency. Some of his earlier releases were questionably average, but yes he's been getting better and better lately. I recently downloaded his live PA @ Kozzmozz off his site and almost fell off my chair. You should check it out...
