i m interested how you guyz solve this problem:

when you apply delay on a certain sound it always needs some time to envelope, cca. 100-200ms, which makes it enough to mess up your loop.
it wont happen if u apply delay on audio file, but when u work with midi it will.
i usually cut the first half of loop in cubase and then copy-paste other half, but i reckon there must be a better solution to this problem.

Not too sure what you mean. I would prolly add delay to the audio signal on the desk. Maybe this will help...

60seconds / Tempo of track = Time time it takes in MS from one kick to the other in a 4/4 track.

Half that and you get a double delay.

Half it again and you get 4 delays between each kick.

Times that by 3 and you get a errm Triplet delay.

Example 60/138 = 0.434

0.434 / 2 = 0.217. Perfect double delay.

Prolly got nothing to do with it tho

Oh i get it, if your using hardware theres a way around that. Set it in loop mode and record. Set the record mode to normal and as it loops it should do multiple takes. Let it record two full loops and on the 3rd hit stop. Then if its SX your in, its better to right click the file and bounce it to a new file and the rename it. Saves on space. sometimes its a good idea to keep the first loop tho. Otherwise when that loop comes in you get the delay/reverb from a sound thats not occured yet.

oh yes that works alrite, but with hardware.
this shite happens to me when i work in reason. i extract loop that has delay on it and you can hear on the beginning of it how delay starts to take effect.
