Made hard work of that. Bit of a stinker all round, especially for hyppia, cisse, alonso (till that fukin stormer of a goal). I guess thats what the cup is all about games like that. Only goode thing to take from this game is that a season or two ago 2/3-1 down against most teams we would of gave up but were showing allot of fight these days.

I was suprised to see the Kopites come back, Alonso's goal was unbelievable...

Alonso is quality. Will be one of the best i reckon.

2 goals from a total if about 100 yards wasnt it?

class goals from alonso

fair play to luton they went for it, think they got tired towards the end of the game

its unlucky for luton that all of liverpools goals were screamers and the keepr had no chance. what a goal feast. the goals were mouth watering. alonso's, gerrards...

we were complacent in the first half, but our fighting spirit is amazing....

as for being lucky.... thats absurd. liverpool fought for the win and did not rely on dirty tactics or other things which certain teams would employ under the same conditions

we were definately NOT hanging on.

Its not luck winning 5-3, Luton were brilliant 1st half though, they were sharp and there 2nd goal was textbook, great turn off of Carragher.

Was Reina injured saturday or just rested? How come Dudek didn't play?

Rested. Dunno bout dudek he wasnt supposed to of been too pleased about not gettin a look in with it bein so close to the world cup. We still havent received any acceptable offers according to the echo.

I think Liverpool should let him go somewhere even if it is on loan, he was a major reason they won the CL and it would be a good gesture with the World Cup coming up. Reina is better than him and Carson looks a good enough reserve keeper.
