Haven't heard any of his productions but the headroom dj's are
truely appalling in their music selection....total cheesemongers!

yeah, i like Patrick Skoog as well, he's a very good producer,i like his native difffusion label. But i must say (and i've said it before in another thread) His compound 'theorin' is his best production so far in my opinion.
the long a side is good but i prefer the b2 track from that record.

he knows how to handle things!!

yep..
ive engineered a couple of gayle san remixes and you should have heard the cd we were given to remix from..
these were the 9 WORST TECHNO TRACKS IVE HEARD IN MY LIFE..
the sound quality was soooo awful i just cannot describe it. The tracks had NO groove, and they were all just 4 minute loops..
I was shocked - it really was the worst stuff i have ever heard in my life

We have skoog on remix duty for abiotic003. The result is rather interesting! Not quite like your typical skoog material, very mankind-ish sounding, but weird, I like it!

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME BIG TIME PRODUCAZ DONT PRODUCE THEIR OWN TRAX? WHATZ THIS WORLD COMING TO, G?

this is sadly very true
personally i think techno comes from a knowledge of how the machines work which becomes creative as you go along.
but i have engineered for plenty of "producers" who wouldn't know how to turn the computer on let alone write and mix a track and make it releasable.

also i know for sure that many other well known producers have their knobs tweaked by very talented engineers without whom you'd have to ask
"could this guy/girl do it on his/her own?"

with the emphasis very much these days being on production to get you noticed isn't it a bit of a cheat?

in fact time for a new topic

miromiric.

michaels really alright a very nice guy
he didn't really understand why i got a bit pissed off at first but once i explained it he was totally cool.
and most of the things he does now are on his own and sound great for it he's really developed a style.

I have been into his music since i heard my first native diffusion. One of THE BEST producers in the business.
No wonder headroom always rocks with him as one third of them.
I really like his ep on Compound 24 rocks the house very time!!!!

1 of the most promising producers(i esp enjoyed nd01,02 and penumbra on f-line)tho in my opinion a bit lackin the true minimalistic touch like most producers nowadays with rare exceptions like burkat, mhonolink, hardcell not to mention the old boys...
