BIONIC LEAVES EVOLUTION
After just over 5 successful years of putting on the biggest hard dance parties in the City, Bionic have announced details of their monthly event moving to Cardiff super club, Creation, and will launch on Friday 3rd March with a bang.
Bionic is the brainchild of Brian M and Cally, which has changed the shape of the hard dance scene in Wales since it was started over 5 years ago. With its diverse music policy, hi level of production and unbelievable atmosphere commented on by nearly all the DJs who play there, it has attracted the support of the leading South West dance music publication Out of Hand magazine who’ve support Bionic’s events at home and throughout England and Ireland where they put on tour events. Bionic has also hosted arenas for some of the UK's leading events including the 25,000 capacity Escape Into The Park festival held in Swansea, Godskitchen at Cardiff Ice Rink and more recently for the UK’s biggest indoor dance music event of 2005, the massive Slammin' Vinyl WestFest event where 10,000 people attended.
Over the years the night has been renowned throughout the UK for their innovative approach and always being the first to try new things and to bring the clubbers not only the first performances of many foreign DJs in Wales but also in the UK. Many of these DJs have then gone on to be big names in the UK after their debut at Bionic. Some of their exclusive UK first appearances include DJs such as Luna, Pavo, Zany, The Prophet, Lady Dana, S.H.O.K.K., Cosmic Gate, Alphazone, Dave 202 and the Warp Brothers just to name a few.
So what can we expect from Bionic in its new home? Brian commented; “We are very excited to be launching our event at this new venue, Creation will allow us improve on our event even more and take it to the next level”. For a start it has more rooms, so they will have the option of catering for more music genres and the clubbers will have more areas to wander around which was a problem in the previous venue. Also the spec of Creation including sound system and lighting is state of the art.
For the launch night on Friday 3rd March Bionic will kit out the venue with their breathtaking décor, providing a visuals and laser display and will be featuring the much-loved One-Love entertainers as featured at previous Bionic events. If you haven’t seen these at a Bionic before prepare to be blown away by the awesome shows that the fire-breathers, grinders, stilt-walkers, midgets and many more characters put on. There will also be live stage performances by their sexy and crazy performers and also the hottest dancers in town.
I believe having Bionic (probably the most consistently busy hard dance event in the country) join the family of promoters will ensure Friday nights @ Creation in Cardiff as the only leading venue for world class dance events in South Wales.
