:D

There was "Live Techno Bollocks" a few years ago, which had a couple of live sets from D.A.V.E The Drummer and Dave DDR.

But yeah, more live sets would be great. A&E Dept live would be a good start, followed by Halo and Pounding Grooves...

I've got one at home, and its bangin! Can't remember much about it, its a double CD, dont know what its called but its basically a Routemaster compilation. Disc 2 is a live PA recorded in New York, and if I remember correctly the responsible parties are Chris Liberator, Lawrie Immersion, and Dave the Drummer. Its quite old, and packed with acid classics (theres a quality rendition of Control amongst others), well worth tracking down if possible.

i think the routemaster live set cd was about the best live thing we did.
me and lawrie did an imprompu live jam once a copuple of years ago that was possibly better but we'll never know as the geezer who was supposed to record it forgot to set the tape rolling!!!!!

Have you tried www.bangingtunes.com or www.smittenrecordings.co.uk for that Free the State CD? It is a well wicked CD that! The Live Techno Bollocks CD is good as well. I really like the DDR set. On the subject of live PA's, Guy McAffer was AWESOME @ The Matrix the other week...RAW & Highwire special! :thumbs up:

hey all

just here to revive this ancient thread...

the best live act i've heard from the London people was at Countdown 9 in the USA when Punk Floyd played a glitch-free set of blistering acid techno. they had gear trouble all the other times i saw them, but not this time. DDR vs Geezer on the live gear, with Chris mixing PF vinyl over the top. they didn't spare the acid, that's for sure. sadly, no one recorded the set... Steve Smitten told me he'd be recording one of their gigs for a live CD, but it never happened...

Henry also once told me Lawrie had recorded a Kektex live, and that he'd try to track it down, but i never heard anything more... my mate that used to attend Havok said it was mad, and pretty high on the BPM

i really like DDR's live acts, and i think he was the last of the London crew to still be doing a "100%" live act.

it seems we could have had some fantastic live cd's then but none of them materialised, oh well, they will have to live on in my memory, it would still be nice to see some new one's though

I saw him a few times back in the day at some london squat parties, and he was outstanding. He did one of the best live P.A`s I have ever heard.

There's a series of tapes called 'global rampage' which feature all of the london boys, going back about 7/8 years. I used to get 'em from kinetec & ambient soho, but i know accessallareas.org have some of them. Highlights for me are the DDR live set from '98 (#2), with an amazingly funky version of 'drugs work', and the D.A.V.E. live PA (#9, i reckon) (got a lovely take on 'poison in the machine' & 'control' amongst others..), from back in the day... Also both zebedee sets are ace (just dj sets tho), and the live Lochi set too.

Here's part of the discography (reckon there's about 70 now..) that i knicked from Jesse's site

any chance you could digitize the best ones? if you know ABC303 over at BT, he has a bunch of the tapes encoded to MP3 available on Soulseek, but I don't think he has the Lochi one you mention.
