Mike Turned Professional Zero
- Mike Turned began his passion for the techno sounds when he was also
a teen, in 1993 he discovers the pioneer clubs in Madrid and became an
adict. The first contact with the production was in 1995, with a PC
program called “Fast Tracker” ( It rules in a 486! ), his friend Andrés
Criado and him were fascinated. It was a MS-DOS sequencer, and the
default sounds were so bad, but them learnt to compose.
- In 1997 nobody believes in the musical posibilities of the computers,
except Mike Turned. He buied his first PC to make music in this year. The
earliest virtual sinthesizers and sequencers were there, and he
investigate it. Andrés had knowledgements of rithms composition and
they worked together in they first minimal-techno tracks.
- In 1998, dj Von ( resident in Voltereta, a mytical club on the Madrid´s
scene ) called them to play their tracks in a party, and Mike Turned had a
revolutionary idea: “¿why can´t we make the live act with the two PCs?,
we can make the tracks at the same bpms to sincronize and mix
them! “. They looked for a name, Substuff- live-act was born.
