Joining Becka this week is another special guest from Germany – Drumcomplex. With several releases under their belt, these guys are poised to make their mark on the global electronic music circuit along with partner, Chris Binder.

Daniel and Arnd Reichow were musically active in the Rock and Heavy area at the end of the 80`s. The Techno movement at the beginning of the 90`s drew their attention to electronic music. Daniel didn’t hesitate for long. By acquiring the first synths he was offered the possibility to transpose his own musical ideas. At first he preferred melodious sounds. As time passed his tendency developed more and more to experimental, drifting and technoid shapes. Very early he performed his tracks live at different events and thus gained enough resonance for his further creative urge. Daniel finished his studies after all in August 2003 as an audio engineer.

At the same time Arnd tried to achieve the fine art of mixing in his parent's cellar with somewhat primitive record players. Even after only one year the moment arrived and the first demo-tape, handed in at the club Far Out in Emmerich, was approved. From this time on he played as a DJ every Saturday evening. After thislocation was shut down he orientated himself in the Ruhr area scene. Several gigs in renowned clubs followed.

Daniel and Arnd worked on different tracks for a long time but it wasn't until the middle of 2001 that they achieved their first success in the scene. Toneman Records was inspired by four tracks and released the "Pushing Conform EP" in November 2001 under the name "Drumcomplex". Some time later definition records released a various artist-record "Solid Players" with the
track "Tribal Morning" which they made under the name Moaner. After that Deja-Vu Records in Switzerland signed 8 tracks. Unfortunately there was no publication because the label stopped. Drumcomplex now have several high profile releases lined up on labels like Highland Beats, Rotation,Toneman and so on. They are operating the label Primal Confusion together with Chris Binder
