Following their rammed parties with UR boys Suburban Knight and DJ 3000 on February 4th and the launch of Split Music on 1st April, SPLIT hit us with another great line-up to kick off the summer.

Alongside SPLIT residents CHRIS FINKE and BEN SIMS will extra special guest appearances from Detroit legend Rolando, Holland’s king of electronics – Steve Rachmad and Blueprint’s James Ruskin. Hosting Room 2 are London’s very own Outlet Collective going head to head with To The Bone with special guest Matt O’Brien playing live.

From the man who rocked the world with ‘Knights of the Jaguar’ ROLANDO has DJed the world over with his deftly blended house and techno sets. From The Aztec Mystic to Los Hermanos and his soon to be launched Crossroads imprint Rolando himself has been on a journey of late. Having left his native Detroit to reside in Edinburgh and breaking from Underground Resistance his Los Hermanos releases alongside Gerald Mitchell have continued to show his latin influenced house and techno still shine strongly and can also be found on his soon to be released new double mix CD on NRK titled ‘From There to Here and Now’. Split welcomes the Detroit legend for what is sure to be a storming set.

STEVE RACHMAD is a globally known Dutch techno producer, DJ and remixer. By many, he is considered a father of Detroit techno in the Netherlands, respected in the world of electronic music for his deep, groovy sounds that tend to rest on impressive strings, melodies, funk and soul. Numerous successful releases on labels such as 100% Pure, Underwater, Fragile, M-Plant, Tresor, Music Man, Scorp, Ion etc and his productions under the names of Sterac, Ignacio, Dreg, Parallel 9, Adverse Match and Sterac Electronics have cemented his name into the techno hall of fame. Bringing his classic techno-funk to the show, the Dutch master will be rocking Split on June 3rd.

Blueprint’s main man JAMES RUSKIN continues to DJ the world over from 3 decks and laptop. Alongside fellow Blueprint producers Oliver Ho, Richard Polson and Downwards’ Surgeon and Regis he has helped establish a UK techno sound that has reverberated around the world. His albums for Tresor and Blueprint and tracks like ‘Solex’, ‘The Divide’ and ‘Encounter’ have established his production credentials and his energetic and spontaneous DJ style have cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s finest. With his first release with Karl O’Connor as O/V/R and Kero Remix of his ‘Transfer’ track due soon on Blueprint Ltd. It should be a busy summer for the man.

Two of London's premier underground party crews go head-to-head in Room 2 as Outlet Collective take on TO THE BONE. Expect a diverse musical mix-up covering disco through dubstep and all musical bases in between.

Currently co-promoting bi-monthly techno-acid-disco-blah shindig, ‘The Ruck’, East London party starters THE OUTLET COLLECTIVE were born of a meeting of minds during ’97. OC have promoted a wide range of residencies and one-off events which have also forged them a reputation for rockin’ the party with an eclectic array of dancefloor-inspired sounds… A reputation which has since led to guest appearances DJing across the UK and Europe.

TO THE BONE began in February 2004 with the stated aim of bringing quality electronic music back to Brixton. Residents Charlie Blue and Tony Little have consistently booked guests that share their appreciation of club music from the past 25 years, encompassing deep Detroit Techno, bumpin' Chicago House, Electro and Disco. Previous guests include: Peel Seamus & Aroy Dee (Delsin), Serge (Clone), Sendex (Bunker) and Marcel Dettmann (Berghain/Panorama Bar).

Debuting last summer with 'The Portimão EP', MATT O’BRIEN unleashed his production skills onto the world’s more discerning dancefloors whilst, in turn, enjoying a rapturous reception from lovers of stripped down, classic minimal techno. Matt is rapidly gaining an equally deserved reputation for first class live performances in his inimitable style - heavy raw sounds with a nod to house and techno and his live set at Split will be no exception. www.offkeyindustries.com

THE KEY, situated opposite The Cross and underneath Canvas, is a superb space to hold our parties. Entrance is via Laser Road, clearly signed with a neon "KEY" sign as you head down towards The Cross. Once indoors you'll witness the dark scene of the main room complete with flashing floor. Turn left and head up into the elegant chandelier hallway, which leads up to the main bar, which is populated with huge oak beams and leather sofas and will become room 2 for SPLIT.

The first release on Split Music is released on 29 May. Featuring two sets of remixes of the classic ‘Blow Your House Down’ by A Guy Called Gerald from Smith & Selway, Freaks, Killa Productions, Chris Finke, Paul Mac, British Murder Boys and Ben Sims it’s set to be one of this summer’s biggest tunes.

Tickets are priced £12 plus any respective booking fee and/or postage if ordered from Ticketweb. Ticketweb Tickets are available now. Tickets are also available at 8 London record shops. Please see the events page at www.splitmusic.net <http://www.splitmusic.net>
