Sebastien Marx & Sunil Sharpe - The Various Things Occurred EP - Open Source #4

Seb Marx tracks:

No Lyricz - http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF216940-01-01-01.mp3
Savage - http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF216940-01-01-02.mp3

Sunhil Sharpe tracks:

Turned To Brick - http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF216940-01-02-01.mp3
Breaker - http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF216940-01-02-02.mp3

Heard this on the BOA Radio show and had to check the other 3 tracks out. Great stuff. I'm just hoping the cuts better than the other Open Source releases as they have been pretty poor in the past.

Cuts were done by lawrie this time, not flat press in germany, so the cuts will be PHAT.
As a side note, I did the mixdown and mastering on Turned to Brick, but for some reason Pat didn`t credit me on the record.

Thanks guys, glad some of you like it!

Steve: You're friends with Pat, why not take it up with him instead of getting ratty about it here? You've been thanked by him and me on many occasions for mastering my track, and respect for that. To be honest I've rarely ever seen techno records with "mastered by __" on individual tracks, and I'm sure with this in mind, that it just simply had not occurred to Pat either.

First time I`ve heard all this ep together.
Nice stuff from Seb, much deeper style from him, cool to hear him spreading his sound out to different areas.
Also like the other track from sunil I hadn`t heard.

As for the credits, I always believe it should be due where it is due.
I`ve got loads of records where the master and mixdown had been credited.
Going way back to old reck records on eukatech where henry was credited for engineering.
It`s fair practice in my eyes, I was a little offended to not have my hard work mentioned on the record.

However, all that crap asside, it`s a good release, both for the Open Source label and for Seb and Sunil.

Sebastian Marx/Sunil Sharpe
‘No Lyricz’
(OPEN SOURCE)

Well this certainly isn’t one for the faint hearted, with two up-comers bashing out the beats in true hard techno style. Sunil’s work on the B-side is peak time stomping ground but the real head-smash here is Sebastian Marx’s ‘No Lyricz’ track. Bruce Lee pops up half way through to show you his finger. And you better be careful that you concentrate on the finger cause you really don’t want to miss all that heavenly glory now do you. M7/M8

Thanks everyone, it's really nice to get a positive response for my first record (I didn't know what to expect at all!), and to appear alongside a producer (Seb) whose tracks and live sets I've really dug over the last few years.

Just got my copy today.
If this kind of techno is your thing then you won`t be disapointed.
The cut is sweet, and all tracks sound great.
Respects to Seb and Sunil, great record for both of yas.
