Jacek Sienkiewicz - LIVE [Recognition / Cocoon - Warsaw]
Skkatter [M.A.T.]

Admission - e10 / e8 Members

This Thursday May 4 sees the arrival of our first ever Polish guest, Jacek
Sienkiewicz, at Electric City in Dublin. Jacek is in town for a very special
live show sure to feature the the best of his wicked productions on his own
label Recognition and his releases from Sven Vath's Cocoon. Jacek is one of
the leading producers on the influential Cocoon label and regularly plays
live at the Cocoon events in Ibiza. His tracks are heavily played by
heavyweights such as Hawtin, FEOS, Lorber, Flugel, Villalobos, Magda et al.
However, you can't beat hearing it from the source and Jacek's live sets are
renowned amongst his peers.

Hailing from Warsaw, Jacek started playing techno as a DJ in 1995, but soon
realised that for him, full artistic expression is possible only through
creation. From his first 303 to today's fully digital setup, Jacek quickly
gained valuable experience. After two years of experimenting, he decided to
set up Recognition Recordings. Working on his own, without engaging too much
in the techno community, Jacek slowly made a name for himself both
domestically and worldwide.

Soon more records started to surface on prominent German labels such as
Cocoon, Trapez and Klang. His tracks were highly featured in Richie Hawtin
DE9: Closer To The Edit mix as well as appearing on mixes by Sven Vath,
Frank Lorber and Mauro Piccotto. Jacek also records with Marcin Oz (aka
Highfish) as DWA and you can expect to see remixes on BPitch Control &
Nummer records later this year. His live set is deep, dark and packs more
punch than a Lech Walesa rally speech so don't say we never warned you!
Support comes from Man About Town, Skkatter.
