Later this week I will become the proud owner of two brand spanking mackie 824s and a sherman filterbank 2, which I can't even nearly afford.

But...

You get 1 years interest free credit on anything over a grand.

Go on, treat yerself :cheese:

with 1 years interest free credit, you could wait 364 days and you'd still be getting a deal.

100 squids a week, beauty!

Love buying stuff this way, I could never afford it otherwise.

sorry to be blunt but your completely stupid! the apr is 29% you'll end up paying back maybe £700+ on top of the orginal bill. You would have been 10 times better off getting a bank loan even on an unsecured load the max you'll pay if you go to a good bank is 17% but prob more like 12-15%. you've got a year to get it sorted, personally i suggest you get a loan and pay turnkey before the 12 months is up

Erm, cheers for the advice, but I've already sorted out a direct debit which means I'll have paid it off within a year.
So I get all the stuff now, pay £100 a month, pay it all off within a year and don't pay a penny of interest.

Which works for me.

You found a bank doing willing to do an interest free loan for a year? Cos I haven't.

Doesn't seem that dumb to me...

Oh dear...

Did anyone else get a nasty premonition of Mark doing some sort of DFS-style advert for Turnkey, where he's walking round the showroom spouting cheesy one liners?

"Hi, I'm Mark EG, and when I'm not smashing vinyl over my head to the rapturous delight of thousands of munted Techno fiends, I buy my equipment from Turnkey..."

On a sample of one from each both were pants for me.

Turnkey lost the item, then sent it 3 weeks later, then phoned me and rather rudely told me I couldn't return it without a cover not when the lost one turned up back at their depot.

Digital village bullshitted about the specs of the PC, built it pretty shoddily (ie I ended up taking the whole thing apart just to put one new drive in cos the cables were all so tangled inside) and also took ages to deliver.
