Monster! Monster! It's England vs Italy in the EC World Cup - what can we say - another cracking AAA (Andrew & Alexander) across both levels of Traffic. Downstairs in the club we have Lord Weatherall ready to rock the club with a firing electro and techno set. Headlining upstairs is the legendary Alexander Robotnick playing an Italo/80s/synth set all night long. Alexander is one of our favourite guests at Electric City and has played several times since coming over first back in 2004. Not only do we have these two fine upstanding musical legends in the one building, we've also got a rare live set from Americhord (D1) in the club and Alan Carbery from the EC FM show (www.powerfm.org every Sunday with Dan Power between 9 - 11). Alan is one of our favourite DJs and he's sure to kick things off perfectly. Warming the italo cockles upstairs will be freshly shaven Barry Donovan who is a familiar face to regulars at EC and is one of the faces behind the excellent Lunar Disko parties. Also playing upstairs is Funboi who is an ace face at Carbon, Backlash and the supplier of the daily bout of 'italo of the day' - he is also a dab hand at t-shirt design - a renaissance man indeed.
Tickets for this event fall into line for a very reasonable e15. Doors open at 10 in the bar & 10 in the club. Tickets are on sale now from Selectah Records in Temple Bar (no booking fee) and online at www.tickets.ie (subject to booking fee). Thanks for all the entries to our competition last week.
