My love for shoegaze is well-known. I was the only black Detroit Techno artist into MBV, Chapterhouse, Ride, Catherine Wheel, Lilys, etc. Probably still am.

Slowdive are a personal fave of mine

hate the term but shoegaze is wikid, some of my fave artists ever were MBV, Chapterhouse and Ride. Kevin Shields plays with Primal Scream occasionaly now and met him once a few years back, excellent guitarist and truely a genius at work.

Nothing I say. Have just recently done in inventory of old non-techno records and came across some gems and have been listening to them nonstop. Ride-Smile, Jesus + Mary Chain - Psychocandy, Slowdive - Souvlaki, early Happy Mondays, MBV and so on. Love the distortion/wall of noise drone of the style and can't get enough.

Picked up the double cd reissue of soulvaki by slowdive a few months ago.Amazing tunes and it also has the Reload and Bandulu remixes on it which are worth the price of the cd's alone.Cant recommend this release enough
