I like it pretty well mate. Production sounds really sweet, but I can't seem to shake the feeling that I've heard something very similar on a record I have. Not saying you've done something like copy someone. Just saying that it has a really familiar feel to it already. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. As far as rocking a dancefloor goes, this would be well proper.

yep production is nice and clean, although id agree with brad that the tune does remind me of a few oldies....

goody oldies tho ;)

My thoughts and honest opinions.
The mix is a little narrow, and lacking warmth and weight.

I like the bassline, but it needs to roar, and be more raw.

Overall, this seems below your normal standard. This feels like a collection of loop CD bongo and conga stuff with a few elements over the top. It does feel familiar to me, but in an anonymous, kinda average DJ fodder kind of way.

Sorry, don`t mean to be harsh, but I think you can do better than this.

Ok guys, i will take your constructive comments into consideration.
Maybe i posted this track up a bit to early tbh.
DB: i thought i'd try something a bit different and maybe it hasn't turned out like i wanted it to but i take your thoughts on board, so nice one mate.

For the life of me i cant think of what record it sounds like but i'm interested to know, so if anyone can post something up i'd be very greatfull.

i didn't think it was to tribalish - if at all. just 'normal' techno. when i hear 'tribal' i think of older sims/varela/bando/ err and cave (not a fan myself) stuff with obvious use of loopage from ueberschall loop essentials :)

but not bad!

The bass doesn't come in at 5mins, it comes in within the first 2 mins.
An i think the tracks is more "tribal" techno than "normal" techno imo.

Cheers for your thoughts though lads

Techno is by nature tribal.
To me, tribal is a strong drummy track.
this has bongo`s in it, but it`s more like the newer ignition technician stuff.

it's ok, some nice elements, such as the bassline, but it could do with a bit more beef and warmth.

At the minute, it's one of them tunes i'd probably have a couple of listens to in the shop, then decide to buy something else instead.

But it has potential, just throw some new ideas in there and it could be a winner

Hey lads,
played this at a party tonight an everyone went totally nuts!!!!!!!

Reason being, they weren't listening to see if there was enough mid range or depth an warmth.
Also, they weren't knocking me saying "there's not enough sub in that bassline or kick drum".

Av'it.....................................haha!
