We firmly contest the decision of an editor at Wikipedia to suggest removal of one Mr. Simon Heartfield's entry due to a lack of "notability."

Indeed under their own terms "notability" can be defined as a "prominent reprensentative of a notable style or the local scene of a city."

We cannot allow this unjust and truly vile act to take place, Simon Heartfield's deletion could indeed wreck the gentle balance our world thrives on. Whatever next? Should we expect Sugar Snap Peas to be quietly taken away in the night? Or maybe the "notability" of Lever Arch Ring Binders will be called into question.

Do NOT delete Simon Heartfield.

Isn't it just.
Well if anybody is interested Simon is a leading exponent of a multitude of rhythmic styles mainly based in Portsmouth but his exploits have led him to many other places.
His album "Permanent Way" was released on Hackpen Records last years and received fair praise.

You can also get a fair bit of his original work and remixes RIGHT HERE (http://www.underyournose.co.uk/index.php?page=artists&artist=36)

But i'm really not here to advertise, I just want you to sign the petition. Such a hard working contributor should not have his Wikipedia entry deleted!!!

Indeed a lack of entry there maybe down to slackness on Hackpen's part?
Try http://www.seatmanblisterhfield.co.uk/html/simon3.html for a list of released and unreleased materials.

Or google Simon Heartfield Permanent Way for various reviews.

well tell him to get on the ball and enter his stuff on discogs. once discogs recognizes him, so will wikipedia. wikipedia uses discogs as a source of information for artists. otherwise wikipedia would just turn into another myspace. BTW, any wikipedia artical can be edited by anyone who registars for a free account on their site.

Yeah it does appear that should be the first port of call.
Cheers guys, the petition is just a bit of fun really but he should indeed be listed on discogs and not deleted from Wiki.
