i'm getting there.
my space , forums , email , webstores , countless "things to do " people moaning at you to update your website.
it's a wind up isn't it?
its like reading a book
but having to call your mate who lives down the road to come round and turn the pages for you.

bollox thats what i say , time to go back to carrier pigeon or horseback.
or paper cups and a piece of string.

in the meantime....

i bought tunes off the net for ages

went down to a record shop recently (chemical records) and instead of piles of vinyl and ques for the decks it was just banks of pc's with handy little software.

you basically choose your tune and it shows a record spinning on a deck, you click on the needle and drag it across the platter like a real turntable. if you like it you put it in the basket, go through the checkout all on the pc and wack your name on it, go up to the front and its there waiting for you

damn good idea i thought

the nets definately a massive time waster. I wasted time just reading this topic and posting a reply. and what has it done for me or anyone else? nothing. wasted time. nothing acomplished, nothing gained. i'm even starting to question the purpose of the internet. whats the point of it?

is it just a mechanism to monitor what people think and say when they beleive they are anonymous while some higher powers log your personal information, views and buying habbits? or is it just a device for global communication (minus 3rd world countries and the extremely poor). whatever it is, its great for porn and bad for music, or is it good for music but bad for artists? **** I dunno anymore. I don't even know who I'm really typing to here. for all I know Dave the Drummer is some guy pretending to be that guy from the UK that plays here in Melbourne every few years. and who am I?

I get to design cool websites all day, and it keeps me running my small business.

So i gotta say i love it. but yes its far to easy to waste time.

Sick of the internet? Sometimes.
Sick of internet porn? Never! :)

Ahhh, I remember the days of staying up watching channel 4 all night, in hope of a nipple. Now its non-stop filth and a high speed broadband connection.

I think I remember reading somewhere that despite all the amazing potential uses of the internet, the two most high volume activities are porn and spam.

Grumble and junkmail. Onward into the future....

I can never get sick of the net as there's always something interest but I do agree that it can take up way too much time.
