Why do producers spoil perfectly good tracks?

I bought Modular 3000 - Mega Drive on kickin tunes recs the other day. The alternative mix is absolutly poundin, maybe the best bit of hardstyle ive heard, untill.. the third break comes in, and a crappy vocal goes on and on... then a cheesy happy hardcore beat comes in!!

Why ruin such a good choon?

Anyway, i suppose there are ways of mixing around it..

its all a matter of opinion sarge, the producers wouldn't of put that part in the track if they didn't think it sounded good ,innit?

I know that, but it just seems wierd when half the track is proper underground sounding and the other sounds like a cheeky girls song..

Ive always thought 'old skool' hardcore to be cheesy tacky rubbish, yet some producers and DJs still see it as a close relative of hardstyle. I cant see the connection AT ALL, and it really annoys me to hear such disposable cheap melodies and hamster vocals alongside what I see as the most grinding and furious form of music Ive heard.

Where is the connection? Im pretty much certain Dutch hardstyle events dont contain any 'hardcore', and they are doing an absolutely roaring trade. I think there would be similar success here in the UK if we dropped the link between these two completely different styles of music.

 No way! 91-92 was the original hardcore, and that was NOT cheese man! Dark breakbeats no cheesy chipmonks!

Tango, Ratty, Fallout, Topbuzz, Mickey Finn, Groverider, The Producer, Easygroove, Ned Ryder, SS, Simon 'Bassline' Smith, Altern-8, Fabio, Pilgrim, etc; back in 91-92 were NOT cheese! IMO those old hardcore days were the dogs bollocks and still NOTHING touches the tunes produced then. Someone back me up here!

sorry dont get me wrong im not slating stuff from that long ago - it was a bit of loose phrase i used. I mean chipmunk vocal / cheesy disposable melodic hardcore. Im not sure what years are associated with this crap but im not slating older stuff, if you say it was darker and without vocals  .

...oh yea, fair play mate, the hardcore around 94-95 when it lost the breakbeats and went 4-beat and introduced the chipmonk & chart sing-a-long vocals (ie; the happy hardcore) was complete bollocks in my opinion too, so i see what you saying. you really want to check out some 91-92 DJ Ratty tapes or some of Tango's...AWESOME STUFF! speaking of which, i need to find a new copy of the infamous DJ Ratty & Robbie Dee live at Westpoint, Exeter at Fantazia...one of the finest tapes ever!
