This Thursday we welcome back a long overdue set from Alan Smith. Originally from the home of cheese in Kilmeaden Waterford. Alan has been living up in the big smoke for the past number of years, where he has played regularly at Model One and Electric City. Recently Alan has started producing some lovely lushes deep techno along with his twin [in an Arnie and Danny way] brother Paul. Alan also hosts a Radio show on Powerfm.org called Odd Radio every Friday night from 9.30 to 11.30 along with his brother and Scott Logan. One of the slickest DJ's around, Alan will be playing the middle set on the night. EC Resident Giles Armstrong will be opening up for Alan with some smoothing sounds to help with any picnic hangovers that you might still have.
Finishing up the night will be the fastest return of a guest in EC history, Jay Alexander. We usually have people wait months and months for a return slot but Jay impressed us so much, and combined with the fact he is off to Argentina to live, we felt honourbound and obliged to get the Minge Master back to EC. Jay is a fine smooth DJ and a big fan of the Teutonic tunes - he'll be serving up a big slice of that minimal smoking techno that works so well in Wax. It should be a grand send off for the man before he takes up the reins on the plains of the River Plate.
Congratulations to Barry Donovan, the first monthly winner of our Electric City fantasy football league. Barry will now receive free entry to Electric City for September as if he didn't already!
