After a hectic few weeks of international guests at EC, this Thursday sees us return to an all star local line-up. Getting the ball rolling will be EC Resident Barry Donovan. Barry's Frustrated Figures team are currently setting the pace at the top of EC fantasy football league but we all know that they won't be there come the end of May. Following on from Bar we welcome back one of Kilmeaden's finest DJs, Paul Smith. Hailing from the Detroit of Waterford, Kilmeaden is as famous for bringing us excellent families of DJ's [Niall & Dan Power are also from there] as it is for it's cheese. Paul's previous sets at EC have always been a joy to listen to and we expect this time to no different as he keeps it as deep as block of cheddar served from the Robert Jonson restaurant.

Making his EC debut this week is regular EC attendee Hugo Johnson who wowed us with two cracking mix CDs he dropped in a few months ago. Quality packaging and design and a lot of effort went in to the submission and it stood out from the blank CDs with marker on them - take note! With one showcasing electro and one techno, they were both mixed up in a fluid floor-rocking style. We're delighted to have him around the other side of the DJ booth for a change. We're always looking for new people to play the club so if you've actually taken the trouble to check the check the club out regularly and you reckon can put something together to make us take notice - then get on it! Just like Hugo.

Belated congratulations to November's Manager of the Month, Gary Morgan. He takes the mantle from last month's winner Cathal Flynn and before him, Barry Donovan who is still top of the overall pile. It was a stirring finish to the month and Gary just held off close challenges from Richie Holland, Ciaran Maverick Nugent and John Cushen. Gary, your prize is free entry to all EC events for the month of November. Get in touch if you're coming down. Well done!
