the alternative would be to create a "room" on soulseek and only allow "members" (peeps on your list) to see your shared files, then you can d/load and chat live @ same time............

This also negates needing to upload anything, but obviously you could only d/load when owner of file is logged into soulseek.....

Do you know how to set one up, so it stays on constantly as I have tried doing it and when I log off then back on, the room is no longer there... maybe time to read the instructions............. no!!!!!!

For a guess the room will only stay on whilst people are logged into it

Also.. not sure if you know already but theres also a way to join so when you start soulseek it always logs in. If we can get enough people to do that im sure the room will stay active

I will have a look when I get home, i am happy to try it as i often leave my comp on for hours, even if i aint around.

but my computer is on its last legs, and cant be left on for a long time or it crashes. (well, i am talking about more than 5-6 hours tho)

But i would be more than willing to help out where i can. Not to "up" on how soulseek works regarding the rooms. I have been in the Old School Trance room a few times, but it is a bit of a clique in there i have found, with nobody sharing anything, and getting pissed off when u ask. :grr:

well yeah, asw well as Hard Trance I have a load of old skool hardcore MP3s (breakbeat, not techno tho) - but basically we can swap whatever files we want, all you have to do is join the room and allow the required files to be shared and away you go, so yeah, we dont need to limit it to a certain style..........

i can't access soulseek because im a mac user but we can swap IP addresses and use limewire to direct connect... ive got 394 hard trance tunes (including sets & classic hard trance) if anyone wants to swap some? (would take too long to upload using yousendit!!!)
