I've always had a soft spot for them, i think they're well good! I have albums from way back, a great band that have held it together over the years! Under the bridge! Classic...!!

i listened to the Chilli Peppers a lot as a teenager, Blood Sugar Sex Majik is a classic album, as is One Hot Minute, i've got a couple of their older albums too including Uplift Mofo Party Plan, which sounds a little dated but still quality...
after One Hot Minute i lost interest in the band, Californication and the rest haven't interested me in the slightest, there's a couple of good tracks on Stadium Arcadium but for me they'll never reach the heights of Blood Sugar again...
i've read Antony Kiedis's book, Scar Tissue, which i recommend to any Chilli's fan, it basicaly describes his struggle with drugs, which was quite horrific at times, i thought i'd been on some crazy sessions until i read about his exploits, insanity, it was also great to learn and the history of the band, and actualy understand a lot of the referances that he includes in his lyrics to friends and special times, places they used to hang out etc.
I'm not really a fan but they do have one of the greatest guitar players & one of greatest bass players in world.

yeah man it's a good book, read it if you get chance...
Col, their drummer Chad Smith is also one of the greatest, plus they had Dave Navaro play guitar on One Hot Minute, another one of the greats...

It's funny, because thats the exact same reason i can't really get into them. I think it is simply down to the fact that he spends too much time prancing around topless.

Exactly what numeric said...
Loved their older stuff then lost interest after one hot minute... I've got uplift mofo party plan, mother's milk & the self-titled album kicking around somewhere - might dig em out and have a listen, it's been a while :)
