everybody seems to be posting loops up at the mo, so i thought id continue in similar fashion.

heres an 8 bar funky techno loop im currently workin on:

http://www.dancetech.com/members/my_tracks/audio/DT_ACF34399183079.mp3

i know a lot of shit needs to be done in terms of eq, i cant use cubase at the moment, as some files are missing. and im currently using my computer without a cd drive! so re-installition is out of the question(should be sorted in the next few days though)

just looking for a general opinion. be honest.

nice use of the sample, maybe just needs more percussion to fill the sound out more.

I think the loops is good.

I agree that it needs a little more percussion, but that doesn't mean that the drums or whatever you put in have to be apparent in the mix. I like the simplicity of the sound.

The congas are a little dry, imo, plus they sound a little too much like congas for me.

The rythym sound really straight. maybe some staggered stuff in there would throw it off a tad. These are just what I would like to hear...the loop is already good.

Oh, and if your looking for funky, I think you need a bassline that moves more...instead of just following the kick.

Hope this kind of critic is what you were looking for...

hey
when u get cubase up and running again there is a program by native instruments called 'battery'. It can run as a stand alone program or u can use it as a vst instrument.
it really turned my production round
