Hope you'll join us for the next LOST!
Having pioneered the sound of electronic music before it hit the mainstream with an astounding line ups LOST is pleased to present the next event featuring exclusive UK dates from illustrious guests Jeff Mills and Francois Kevorkian.
In the red area, Steve Bicknell welcomes back Jeff Mills and Francois K, both legends within the history of dance music, LOST embrace the opportunity to bring these guys together. Francois K career spans over 30 years, , truly a player who continues to experiment and develop his musical vision. Hailing from France, Francois dj career is inextricably linked to New York, encompassing stints at the legendary Studio 54, The Loft, Zanzibar and Paradise Garage culminating in his own world renowned night 'Body & Soul', one of New York's most respected clubs. Francois dj activities took a back seat in '83 after collaborations with Larry Levan took precedence, leading to remixing and production work with a host of diverse artists including Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Jean Michele Jarre, The Strikers, Dinosaur L, Juan Atkins, the Atmosphere classic 'Dancing in Outerspace'. Wave music was established in 1994, a label known for music with substance and soulful sounds. 2001 saw the advent of clicktracks featuring electronic beats and abstract textures, a new musical direction with all roads leading to LOST. Francois first played at LOST in 2002 when we paired him with Derrick May, after which they went on to work together as the Cosmic Twins. They stormed the decks at the legendary LOST Lighthouse venue, (the only lighthouse/warehouse in London, which was home to LOST events for a number of years back in the day before the developers moved in, setting the precedent for warehouse parties to follow, this extreme location has not been surpassed r.i.p.)
Jeff Mills needs no introduction to LOST, playing with us consistently since 1992, with his first ever set in the UK. Jeff Mills returns to LOST once again to push the boundaries of
music/art/film. An uncompromising pioneer both as dj and producer, his electrifying dj sets have become the stuff of legend and his music concepts the benchmark of modern electronic innovation. Over the past fifteen years LOST has provided Jeff with a base to experiment, develop new ideas and of-course spin at a great party, he continues to define contemporary music at every level!
