Finding it hard to find out what soundcard is in that machine. But more than likely it is a realtek. Try one of these drivers http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

There seams to be only vista suppot from siemans for that soundcard, it runs off the intergrated chipset drivers.

I have have what your card should be - vt8237a

There is a driver i found here - http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=1&CatID=1010&SubCatID=154

But its up to you if you install these, do so at your own risk, i accpept no responsibility.

Hope this helps mate.

well after having a quick look around i've come to the same conclusion as IQ, the via drivers he posted should work.

found this forum though so you maybe able to ask on there

Might be a problem with XP, there was a hotfix released in SP2 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111

If your running a genuine version of windows, then make sure all the updates are installed and that hotfix is applied. Then try the via driver i posted before.
