mike, this is the geighest post...........ever :)
ive never really paid attention - if im tired and im trying to watch something i'll leave my tv on the timer so if i fall asleep it'll turn off, but if im tired and music is playing i'll just turn it off as it'll still be there in the mornin

When I am fortunate enough to stay in my French domicile for one night or two I enjoy nothing more than blissfully "slipping away" to Debussy's "clair de lune" set to volume-level "4"...
not!

i always have trouble when i listen to music going to sleep, i drift off nicely and then wake up about 45 mins later and the music sounds really lod and absolutely terrifying....dunno why....it used to happen a lot with Marks set at Toronto WMC 2000... always used to listen to that in bed!! 8)

I need absolute silence. Use to see a girl who needed music playng in the background to get to sleep. Use to drive me nutz.... also meens i also have a real hatred for anything by massive attack or alanis morrisete.

I need music to get to sleep, no heavy 4/4 sh*t though, some nice soothing electro does the job for me, kraftwerk, tangerine dream, or more recent stuff like carl a finlow or any rotters golf club stuff.
at the moment my favourite mix to go to sleep is a radioactive man breezeblock mix from radio 1.

I'm happy to listen to anything... uplifting is pretty good! Had rushes from stuff like Flutlict - Icarus and other good Flutlict/Shokk stuff before sleep. Some Hardcore Techno is good (i.e Music Maker, Scorpio, HMS!) bizarrely works. I think the constont beat becomes soothing strangely.
