It depends if Benitez has learnt anything from this seasons league campaign, need to be more attacking away from home and get Gerrard in the middle.

gotta get a world class striker to partner kuyt first and foremost, and someone like ronaldo in midfield who isnt scared to run at defenders. he drags players out of position so well leaving big spaces around the pitch. i went to the iverpool v charlton game last weekend and they just dont look confident on the ball.....another thing..get zenden out!

Just hope he doesn't waste it on a load of spanish crap that takes 2 seasons to get settled then goes back to spain for half the money.

LOL - bet he does!

....and Bassline Junkie - think pretty much every Utd fan was saying same at beginning of the season - priority is getting OUR Premiership trophy back - you know the one you scousers have yet to see in ya trophy room

All right we got bit giddy with memories of '99 when the treble was on, but who can blame us - its just same as your lot are with memories of '05 at the mo, thinking yor gonna do 'em again cos you fluked it before!

Liverpool need some top drawer strikers and wingers, then they'd have a chance...

To be fair - who realistically could Liverpool buy who could make the difference who is available?? What strikers would be available? Or what quality wingers could they get??

The obvious stikers who teams would want to buy Eto'o or Adriano for example but can't see them being available. There are no English strikers to go for which means the big problem is finding a player would would fit straight into the speed of the prem. Shevchenko has been one of the best stikers in the world for years and scored loads of goals in Seria A yet in in his 1st season has struggled like Drogba did in his 1st season.

McCarthy might be worth a punt and I reckon Ibrahamivich would do well and they're always being linked with Simao and Alves... Plus there's Anelka, I wouldn't mind if he came back to Arsenal, though I'm sure a lot of Gooners would!

Kone looks pretty good too, there's always some up and comings that aren't at big teams yet, like van Persie, only cost £3.5m.

My mates who is a big Utd fan is sure that Man Utd are gonna buy Owen and can get him for £9 million.

In the papers today it says Liverpool are gonna get Tevez for £20 million. Could be a great signing as he has already had one season in the prem already.

8 goals in his last 10 games in a poor side isn't bad and the single reason West Ham stayed up. He would score shed loads for a big club.

I was hearing there was interest from Real Madrid for Tevez, but you know what the papers are like!!

Should be intresting what transfers are looming in the summer for a few clubs, hopefully Arsenal will pick up a bargain or two somewhere.......
