Hi Guys 8)
I have read the mixmag interview today.
I thought it were one interview about Hardstyle.
But no, it is one write about Neo.
For Neo it is good promotion for her partys.
Definately not good for hardstyle.
I read too much words with hardcore.
English hardcore is not the same as german - dutch hardcore.
Hardstyle is hardtrance with influence from techno/hardcore.
Hardstyle is the new way to get away from the cheesy trance/Hardtrance
over the last years.
It´s harder but no hardcore !
The reporter has his own write written from many opinions-interviews.
I think it´s a problem for a reporter to write an article of a scene it doesn't know this one.
This harms it doesn't strive any more has acted.
The article is very superficial.
But one also can expect nothing else from a commercial newspaper.
I have for it seen there were some discusions over the article.
I say everything what counts is the music and to this the jest.
I produce my music for Club people.
The commercial newspapers understand nothing of it.
It is the reporter knows the scene, then.

Cheers
Dirk

Ha! Bang ****in on it! While i still think it's not the worst thing that a mainstream clubbing magazine at least gives some attention to the real and alive n kicking underground scenes and styles this quote from Dirk does perfectly sum up the completely clueless uninformed approach of Mixmag and other mainstream mags. Where's the information? Where's the knowledge and where's the insight? And why of ****inn why to i have to wade through oceans of unsubstantiated nonsense about imaginary media trends and bollox before i can find more than two words of worth in a Mixmag article!
