Go to www.sufcollective.com guys and check new samples.

Personally i don't like all the schranzy stuff there...the only one i like is the "Alk Symphony No 7" ... Bilro and Balbosa "Dark Project Rmx" also sounds good but i will wait for vinyl to check it well

Yeah true, i got a couple of records last year from a guy i know who started making it, and i couldnt belive how boring they were, all 8 tracks were the same, but apparently, they sold really well, or he may have just been saying that..haha.
I like the boris S and Sven whittenkind stuff though, theyseem to be pretty decent, other stuff just seems boarderline with hardcore techno.

The ´original´form of Schranz has got nothing in common with that sound that is called so nowadays.The definition Schranz was a term C.Liebing and Massimo Gresz used for the kind of Techno they played around ´96 on their legendary Evosonic Radio Show and on their sets and is actually a combination of the words Schreien[scream]and tanzen [dance].That sound was much slower[136-142bpm]as that what is called Schranz today

Yes! More like that. Some proper acid techno, not schranz, or hard dance.

Agreed. Cant stand 90% of it, but loving the last few getafix releases, espesh the immersion tracks.

Not particularly impressed with the tunes on the website. Pretty weak when the website's billing itself as the "home of acid techno". Where's the ****in acid? Of all the SUFcollective labels, 4x4 always did the least for me though.

Carbine - "We Are The Ravers"

Oh dear. Dreadfull vocals, boring, nothing to hold interest and a serious lack of killer 303. It's like a budget version of 3 Day Illegal. Really wanted this to be a killer from Guy & Chris, but it's not IMO. Won't be buying this one. Just listened again. IMO, this is one of the if not the worst SUF's.

Milanel - "26th Hour"

Quite like this, don't know what label it's coming out on though? Nice bassline, simple track. Will be getting this as I've just thought of something it will mix into nicely.

Distek - "Pumpaz"

Good solid track from Distek again. No killer, but a seriously phat set filler. Productions getting better and better. Is this the KTD?

Yolk 21 - "Headstart"

Like this. Will buy it. :)

Mario Ranieri - Bummnoglzua

Utter ear and brain ache. WTF is that supposed to be? Acid schranz? Train wreck...

Mario Ranieri - "Alk Symphony No.7"

Sounding ok so far, certainly different. I'd buy it, to play it in a breaks set. The more I listen, the more I like. Thumbs up (so long as the other sides not that track above ^ )

The Gift Remix

Another classic falls foul of the curse of Smitten Is Dead. Why remix a track that was great first time round, if your going to make it sound nowhere near as good as the original? The vocal sounds out of time in places as well. Aaargh! Moan, grumble, winge, see my other threads on SID...

there are 3 other tracks on KTD008, by Jamie Taylor, A.P., Rhythm Tech & Dj Clodagh, all really cool tracks too.

anyway Aratron, the other tracks on KTD008 are wikid, Rhythm Tech & Clodagh, go for a dark synthy track, Jamie Taylor goes a funky acid orientated track and A.P. goes for the funked up club groove.... its a nicely rounded ep!! i hope i can make you eat your words :;

should be out in a month or so, but clips should be up in a few weeks!!

:)

well we picked that track because he played it in his set when he was staying in North Wales and it really did rock the house, really good stuff for the club and thats what our label is all about, good solid club techno! :;

After listening to the previews on the SUF site, I'm not holding out much hope although I will probably buy the Yolk and SUF tunes. The other tunes I will have to ponder over and hope that the other sides are betterer.

But then again I am feeling quite grouchy as I have been in a stream in waders all day and the water came in over the top of them withing 5 minutes. Find me higher waders and I'll buy your records.

Not won over by any of tunes up there, most just not my style.

We Are the Ravers gets prize for most cringeworthy vocals in a SUF tune ever.

Looks like I'll be buying nowt but old records for at least the next month :(
