Right, apart from re-positioning our whole studio, we're about to make a very big move..... to CUBASE SX!

What are people's thoughts on it as opposed to Cubase 5...

i find it alot better than cubase vst, the sound quality is better, the interface looks nicer and vst used to hang a lot on me. can't think of any minusses... maybe the lack of groove templates in sx?

agreed.
sx so rules over 5! audio signal is cleaner, when you use reason via rewire it's audio is boosted in sx, no more crapy reason signal. and the most important thing is that automation of instruments and plugins is so easy and intuitive now.
you get a single track for every automation unit you make, that's really superb. 8)

wow... cleaner audio ??!!! well i'm upgrading my sound card the motu 828 so this should mean an UNBELIEVABLE sound quality. really excited about this now... is there an online manual or good website (apart from cubase.net) that anyone could recommend to read up on this before I get it?

i love the ability to drag and drop REX and RX2 files so easily into SX it's a 1,000,000 times better then cubase 5.

I honestly can't say enough about it. It's tighter with audio and midi plus with this better layout it's cut my production time down by atleast 1/2!!!

Whoa yeah baby......
since i got cubase sx running things are a dream,
One of the best things with this shit is the timestretch pointer tool - makes for some crazy bittle breaks etc - just stretch the audio out - proper elastic style - love it!!! cant recommend it enough....
The reverb A is sounding good too and the step filter is handy as far as plugins go.. and having all the channel info on the left of the screen can save constantly flickin through windows....
there are a million more reasons to upgrade.....sx really is the nuts! do it man

I've got a copy of sx, but when I installed it it seemed to want to register on-line. Do I need a keygen or crack or something to get around this?

yeah, u ll need to crack it and update it manually...u need to avoid system check for usb device that has a specific SX code.

haha just looked at my version again, stopped being so dopey and now it's working like a dream.....I've always had problems with the past with cubase on the pc, but this seems like the dogs..reason plugs straight in without any hassle and the sound quality is definately better...
