Gigolo 10th Anniversary Tour:

Oliver Huntemann [Hamburg]
Kevin Gorman [Manchester]
Eddie Brennan [Electric City]

Admission - e12 / e10 members.

This Thursday sees Gigolo Records come to Dublin to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of this seminal label for Part 1 of an Electric City Vs Gigolo Records birthday celebration special.

This double-header with one of the so-hot-right-now (and for the past 10 years!) DJ & producers Oliver Huntemann jetting in from Hamburg alongside super-fresh sharp shooter Kevin Gorman from Manchester.
Huntemann is now, although he has been producing music for over 10 years, one of Germany's hottest electronic acts. Most recently because of his releases on his own 1995-founded Confused and Dance Electric labels, Anthony Rother's Datapunk and the extremely prolific Berlin-based Gigolo Records, which put out his album "Fieber" in collaboration with Confused. His "perfectly balanced tracks sitting somewhere between Chicago, electro and minimal disco" (Groove Magazine) lead him - alongside his studio partner Stephan Bodzin - to the noble honour of doing a remix of Depeche Mode's all-time classic "Everything Counts", which has turned out to be only massive. His latest strike is "PLAY! 01": With a recording of his extensively celebrated set at D-Edge in Sao Paulo, Huntemann kicks off his new mix compilation series where tracks from Gui Boratto, Stephan Bodzin, The Knife, Huggotron, Petter & Xenia Beliayeva rock the floor alongside several of his own productions.

Why is he only making his Irish debut now? We don't know but better late than never.

Kevin Gorman - a new name to some but making waves like the Atlantic in a super short time. His minimal house label, Mikrowave has showcased his sound and also featured releases from Phil Kieran and Mihalis Safras. It was these releases that saw him being picked out for Gigolo-ness with his DMX 12" bringing more attention to the man. Check out his dynamite mixes available for download at www.kevingorman.co.uk with killer track selection from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Fourtet, Rob Mello, Shed, Joel Mull and plenty of his own releases. Kevin Gorman has recently completed his debut album, to be released shortly on International Deejay Gigolo and he's sure to play a few choice cuts from it this Thursday. Resident EC heartthrob Eddie Brennan kicks things off at 11 sharp. Mail or paypal [electricitypromotions@eircom.net] your name for our 10 euro list.

Those of you who read our press releases diligently will have noticed we said this was Pt. 1 of the Gigolo 10th Anniversary celebrations in Dublin. What's Pt. 2? All will be revealed shortly but what we can say is it will involve a meeting of two gaaaffers.

Come... on... you... boys... in EC.
