KINETEC RECORDS IS MOVING!
London’s Legendary Underground Dance Music Specialists have found a new HQ.

Kinetec is moving to a new but familiar stomping ground – Hackney Central. After a legendary 10 years at 15A Little Portland Street, the Kinetec thinks it's time to move closer to the scene and onto holy Techno ground - Hackney.

The new home for the Techno Trading Giant will be right next to the legendary Stay Up Forever Collective Offices and above the ground breaking mastering studios of Curve Pusher.

Trading in the new location will start from Monday, 9th July 2007.

Rail: Victoria Line to Highbury & Islington, then Silverlink to Hackney Central

Closest Tube: Bethnal Green, Central Line

Directions from Hackney Central Station:
Turn right from station exit on to Mare Street, 5 mins walk. Turn left into Darnley Street, +/-50m, no 1C.

not exactly going to help with the passing trade tho is it? .....good luck to kinetic - shopped there myself.......great stock and friendly people. can't help but wonder whats changed after 10 years.......Just one more casualty in the currnet scene meltdown i reckon..

unfortunately there wasn't really any passing trade in little portland street. even people who knew where we were struggled to find us in the basement. what's changed after 10 years is that our lease is up and we don't want to commit to another 10 years in oxford circus. darnley road is much closer to home for us and being in the same building as Stay Up, Routemaster & Curvepusher makes sense as we sell loads of their stuff.
and after 10 years we've got a window and daylight.

we're definitely not a casualty of any supposed scene meltdown infact the move has put us into a much stronger position.

hopefully see you in hackney soon...

cool fair enough - yeah the other shop was a bit tough to find....

I imagine the online sales are ramping up these days too....so that doesn't matter where you are based either..
