This Thursdays sees the return to EC of the prodigal Chymera. It was back in Traffic when we last had him play and how times have changed for Brendan since then. Always a talented musical man, we have followed Bren's musical career closely from a track on the DEAD compilation four years ago & CD-r demos then moving on to a self-funded & distributed CD album on his own 'Iterate' label. Naturally, his music got noticed and having recently returned to Dublin from a stint living and making music in Costa Rica during which time he has become an established name in the world of techno with a series of superb releases on labels like Mezzotinto, Morse and his 'Umbrella' EP on Josh Wink's Ovum imprint. The latter release has probably being his biggest track to date with it hitting the Top 10 Beatport download chart and has being caned by everyone from Laurent Garnier [who reportedly is a big fan] to Armin Van Buuuuuurren [we forgive you Bren, we really do]. Rihanna & Li'l Kim are reportedly being lined up for the remix package coming soon.

Next up for him are releases on Nice and Nasty, JM recordings, Morse Records and Tishomingo as well as sets at Electric Circus in Waterford and a debut show at the famous Nista club in possibly his new home town Barcelona. He will be playing live for over two hours at EC and we are sure its going to be an absolute belter of a night. (Play the Kate Bush one Bren!)

Support comes from Electric City resident Simon Conway who will be kicking off a record breaking three gigs (and three different sets too) in three days with a set of deep techno to warm the cockles of your tippy-toes.
