Hooray! Henry on the acid once again. This sounds good. I expect this is going to be a SUF release to make up for the God awful Guy & Chris release.

Now all we need is a touch of dark, fu*ked up, disturbing, sickness on the B-side and we're rocking...

*hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge Henry* :) :) :)

more acid on the way
i'm trying to get back to that old boscaland thingy
with a new twist , so it'll be darker harder and a bit minimal
but a bit more modern sounding

i've been listening to a lot of old skool recently
really minimal innit?
no loops , no layers of fx and samples and all that cobblers
just kiks hats and 303's and attitude
i think thats the way for me right now

anyway ta lads
glad you like it , more to come i promise

You saying all that has made me moist! :cheese: :cheese: :cheese:

This is what I've been trying to say for ages. It was always minimal and really atmospheric, really mad percussion, disturbing, etc.

Old skool sounds FTW!!!!1

Ooooh I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ewh7ty :rockin:

I went through loads and loads of old stuff last night, most if I'm honest were tracks by Lawrie, and they are all minimal as hell, but still avin'it. Check these out:

http://www.discogs.com/release/31677 - B side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/21807 - B side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/20091 - B side.

And some tracks that are seriously "druggy" sounding, real out there tracks, sonic soundscapes, still quite minimal in a way, tracks that just keep going and going, getting you in the zone when on the dance floor, the thing that makes the UK sound so special IMO:

http://www.discogs.com/release/49959 - A side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/34525 - B side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/47341 - A side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/21801 - A side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/16268 - B side.
http://www.discogs.com/release/11950 - which ever side has that smoke detector sample (trippy!)

Very interesting...

And yeah, that dark, trippy acid sound will always be welcome.

Those tracks on Discogs:

"Splinter" is really stripped down, yet still seems to make it into every session I have. And that acid line isn't cliche screaming, it's more of the growly sort.

I've been thinking about "Control" lately... I found this old track Voodooamt - "Voodoo" (No Soul Mix) that has the same deathray synth sounds in it. Maybe Henry is/was a Patrick Lindsey fan?

Personally, I would love to hear really deep stuff like that whole Minilogue, Petter, etc. sound, but a bit faster and heavier on the acid. Maybe Henry is headed this way... i know i'll get slagged for this, but it seems to me that said sound has some commercial (read: $$$) appeal while also having integrity.

Yea man, deeper stuff would be cool. :)

Just get that 97 vibe back with 2007 production skills innit.

I still love the B side of Control. Can't remember for the life of me what it's called, but I love the French Kiss style slow down in the middle. Again, thats quite a deep track, and very minimal compaired to Control, but it's still avin'it.
