Ive got about £600 to spend on a new PC for entry level production purposes. Any ideas on recommended pc spec & sound card for that price?

You gonna build it yourself or buy off the shelf? Laptop or desktop? Will you be using a lot of VST's or external stuff. Personally, I'd say something with shit loads of RAM, >100gig hard drive, a dual core processor, don't worry about beefy graphics cards or uber-nang looking TFT displays etc. Sound card wise, for around £100 you should be able to pick something with a couple of i/o's up, try something like: http://www.turnkey.co.uk/web/productAction.do?dispatch=showProduct&SKU=PSON-INSPIRE&context=WEB
