Might just do that dodgy.

Never been a massive fan of cubase, just been using it so long I haven't been bothered to switch.

How can you say it wont? You dont know what he wants it to do, ya bugger!

I'm aware it doesn't have the same range of features as cubase or pro tools but i'd wager the majority of people using it dont need those features in their everyday usage . NER

Why do you say that tony?

And force - I use Ableton rewired into pro-tools... now THAT is flexibility second to none.

i suppose its because when i was doing my btec i was using pro tools le for certain assignments and found its midi editing quite clumsy and not really to my liking.

Back to using Reason at the moment, and I have to say V3 has been a bit of a blinder.

The new effects modules are sweet.

I was going to put renoise on there, but i didnt think anyone would be using it. You can only have 10 options in the poll for some reason and i wanted to leave room for stuff.

Ableton is the Daddy!
im partial to Pro Tools if im recording someone ...but for pure functionality albeton smokes the biscuit!

do u notice a difference when u go to mixdown Dodgy? when u wire live + PT?

Not really, I record the O/P from albeton into a channel in PT...

There probably is some difference as with most daw's (consumer end anyway) but i record, mix and create in 24/48 never anything less...

there is always the resampling issue though.

Once you get used to the MIDI (im on 7.3) then you can really fly around. I know what you mean though - it isnt a nice system to learn.

Orion Platinum Beta 7.1 (I think)
Love it, the environment is just like the way I used to work in the old analog studio (minus the labrynth of cables), and the best thing is it allows me to get my ideas out of my head and into sound extremely rapidly.

What he said!

It's perfect for learning on and theres more than enough features. Plus the layout is easy to understand so you can get straight into it without having to go through loads of munus. I love it, it's great fun!
