Great dirty sopunding synths and kicks can be made with minimal effort by pushing processing to its limits...Try it!!
for example, silly amounts of feedback heavely compressed, distorted to hell and bit crushed to nothingness, then fed back into a synth with audio input!
Remember - the DAW can do all this in no time
