The second digital release on Limetree sees us making a quick stop in Birmingham to pick up these dark and moody pieces of techno.
Error404 is from the infamous techno city of Birmingham in the UK. Having been DJing for several years and heavily influenced by British artists such as Regis, Surgeon, James Ruskin & Oliver Ho, he began to produce his own sounds in 2000. In his own words: "I like the ethos of Techno :- forming ideas from all corners and using technology to redesign, restructure and develop – constant evolution. I was always fascinated by the ways sounds interact, the relationship between tone and texture and rhythm's influence on the body. Production and performance wise, both DJ and Live, I like to take the listener on a journey - as a wise man once said, 'variety is the spice of life'. I try to keep the theme and mood changing and morphing. Linearity doesn't provoke thought or emotion - I want to put listeners just outside their comfort zone." Production and performance wise, he is keen to demonstrate the influence of other genres and how hey can work in harmony with more customary Techno themes – certainly elements of IDM, Grime and Dubstep are evident in his music.
