which OS?

m-audio keyboards are decent, if unspectacular, but they are pains in the ass about releasing updated drivers

if it's a pain in the arse,then I don't wannit,hassles i can well do without.

I'm thinking something like http://www.soundcontrol.co.uk/mod_1/pages/mod_1.12/pages/mod_1.12.1/pages/mod_1.12.1.1/pages/index.php?sku=1.1.3.2.5-107-2081 this maybe. Affordable, and it has a few twiddlybits on.

i'd go with one of the novation remote serious..

i've had a remote 25 as my main studio midi keyboard for 3 years now and its never failed me.

korg kontrol and microkontrol are excellent build quality and are £299 and £199

the novation ones are also top notch

alot of the cheaper end actaully feel a bit fisher price, because theres not much to them ecept a lump of plastic and a few knobs.. the novation looks nice all the same.

I'll vouch for the Evolution range. Very decent price, ive had mine for 3 years and ive never had to install a driver, ive taken it gigging all over the place, and it has never let me down once.

yeah i wouldnt say the Evo's feel "fisher price" exactly, they are indeed made out of a thin plastic case but ive had mine about 5 years now and like IQ said, ive never had to install a driver and ive took it to numerous studios and rehearshal spaces to use no problem

4 octave keyboard with +/- 3 octaves too, so if you can actually play the piano/keyboard to a good degree its cool for that too

It turned up

It's massive! I thought it was only going to be about 18 inches long,it's about 3 foot :cheese: Gonna have to rethink it's home.
