T.Raumschmiere makes his debut assault on Ireland this Thursday,
his incendiary live performances have rocked audiences across Europe
and the USA over the past 12 months, culminating in Miss Kittin tearing his
trousers off at this years Sonar festival. Without doubt, the T.Raumschmiere
experience is best sampled live: for him the live arena is as crucial as the
studio, his full- on 'stay-anti' motto confirming his punk based refusenik
stance. He is a one man 'electro-punk' movement.

Since 1997 T. Raumschmiere (the moniker is lifted from the William S.
Burroughs short story, 'The Dreamcops', 'Die Traumschmiere' in his native
German) has released music on a variety of labels, though predominantly on
his own - the wonderfully named Shitkatapult, based in Berlin, but also for
Cologne's Kompakt, and Hefty Records (Chicago). Though this period he has
worked with people such as Le Tigre, Dave Gahan, Goldfrapp and Miss Kittin
all the while playing drums in his band Mos Eisley Def.

Variously described as "digi-punk rock", "crack-house music for cable TV
kids.", and full of "rock hard metal riffage" his music is a diverse
combination of punk, electro, hip-hop, rock and electronic atmospherics.
Releases have appeared on labels such as Kompakt, Sender, BPitch Control,
WMF, Salo and Mute. His most recent album 'Radio Blackout' on Novamute
featured the massive tracks 'Monstertruckdriver' and 'Rabaukendisco' have
been picked up and heavily played by Sven Vath, DJ Hell, The Hacker and
Ellen Allien. His live appearance at Electric City is sure to be an
unforgettable experience with a bucket full of rock-star magnetism ready to
rock the dancefloor.

As if that wasn't enough we've got one of the worlds leading electro
artists, Decal, also performing live on the night . This will be his first
live appearance at the club and is set to be his last in Dublin until late
Summer 2004. This year has seen the release of the tearing electro album
'Brightest Star' on Rotters Golf Club alongside the killer 'Burn From The
Inside' EP on Satamile, while next year sees the re-launch of the Trama
Industries label with new 12"s due out from Decal & Americhord. Decal is now
firmly established as one of the premier names in electro and with plenty
releases due up in 2004 and a New Years Eve appearance at the Haywire
session in London his star will be shining brightly for quite a while yet.

DJ's on the night will be Paddy Butler and John Kavanagh. John has played at
the club twice already this year and is one of our favourite new DJ's to
have played the club. He plays a wicked mix of electro from across the board
from the smoother Carl Finlow style to the rough & ready Control Tower
releases and anyone who has heard him down the club already knows he has the
skills to rock the dancefloor. John also runs 'Faux Nation' - a weekly
electro/electronica night in An Seo on Camden St. every Thursday.

This will be Paddy's second time to play Electric City. He recently finished
up proceedings on the Full Stop stage at DEAF where he shared the bill with
Akufen, Donnacha Costello, Donal Tierney & Ross Carew. His deep minimal
German sound has a warm poppy feel with plenty from labels such as Force
Tracks, Kompakt, Playhouse and Bpitch Control.
