How do. It's 2008, and we're back on air. Hope you welcomed the year in properly. Few small changes and additions. Firstly you'll notice we're starting an hour later and we're down to a 2hour broadcast. Yes, that's true, but we're now bi-weekly, so you get an extra hour of MANTIS every month. And coming in Feb is neuroMANTIS, which all I'm going to say is something is happening in Shoreditch, London. UK. More details to come soon about that.
SHOWCASE
MANTIS is very proud to present Filippo Aldovini of Zymogen.net.
To mark our first show of 2008, we've invited Filippo Aldovini to give us a label showcase for his rather excellent net label, Zymogen. Ambient, deep, relaxing and sometimes abstract textures will no doubt be shining though during the 9th MANTIS showcase.
A little about Zymogen. Zymogen offers a means to consider and experience distinct electronic music and the internet as a resource. It is the product of refined consideration for experimental expression and aesthetics, offering music in a digital format since September 2005.
Our foremost objective is to create a personal touch, in order to draw attention and stand out in the multitude.
The Zymogen project is based in Modena, Italy and is coordinated by Filippo Aldovini, who also programs the lengthy 'Unmoored' segment for Systrum Sistum net-radio (http://www.systrum.net/), an integral part of the Zymogen network.

REST OF DA SHOW
Rather than the previous hour of DVNT either side of the showcase, from now on, it's a single hour. But there will be no drop in the quality and range of sound mixed, dropped, faded, and played. Amongst the new pieces being played with be some bits taken from the rather excellent forthcoming Mortal Coils EP on new label Data Trace, fresh Jnr Hacksaw, KiloWatts and the amazing Teknopera, classic Richie Hawtin and superb previously unreleased Tipper.
