View Full Version : Electric City Christmas Party

Electric City
15-12-2003, 02:11 PM
Thursday December 18th

Giles Armstrong [electricity]
Simon Conway [electricity]

Admission - e5

This Thursday, for the first time ever, the Electric City residents Simon &
Giles, will be taking over the EC controls for the entire evenings
entertainment. This is our definition of Electric City!

Simon will be kicking things off at 11 and then they'll be alternating
hourly until the finish. The dry-ice machine duties will be rota-d on a
similar basis.

We'd like to thank everyone who has come down to the club since we began
back in February. The people that have come down to the club have been
brilliant - it's been a pleasure to run the club and hopefully a lot of you
have got to see some great DJ's and live acts play through the year. Lots of
people have played their debut sets in Electric City and we'll continue to
push new local talent alongside more established names throughout 2004.
Cheers to everyone who has played the club and to everyone who has made the
effort to come down on a Thursday night. It's not an easy night to go out,
but we hope we've made it a little harder to stay in.

All our international guest DJ's have commented on the open-mindedness of
the crowd and how much they have enjoyed playing the club while over here.
The range of our guests has spanned from 50 year-old Italo-Disco legends to
18 year-old Galway schoolboys! Musically the variety has been no less, with
the aforementioned Alexander Robotnick feeling at home in Electric City as
much as the likes of Makaton, Americhord, John Selway, Diego, The Hacker,
Rian Ryan, Decal, Transparent Sound, Sunil Sharpe, Agoria, Carl Finlow,
Andrew Weatherall, John Kavanagh and many more.

We aim to continue to have the best Irish and International guests play
Electric City in 2004 and to keep the musical diversity and quality to the
highest standard. Some of the artists lined up to appear early in 2004
include Pete Donaldson, Kirk Degiorgio, Rian Ryan, Oscar Mulero, Philip
Ryan, I-F, Steve Rachmad, Andre Galluzzi, Noid The Droid, Massplanck and
Paddy Gallagher.
