Doors 10PM

It's the Treble - no one in England is going to win it but Electric Shock has got it's hands on one for Saturday April 26th in the Tivoli for possible the biggest club gig of the year. Champions League duo Alter Ego will make their long-anticipated live Irish debut (don't make us hark on about the famed Metroplitan incident again, please - October '04 btw). Flying in from Frankfurt, Roman Flugel & Jorn Elling-Wuttke have an unrivalled pedigree and Discogs page (www.discogs.com/artist/Alter+Ego - read it and weep) that commands Capello-esque respect. Also recording as Acid Jesus and Sensorama, they have been going since 1994. True legends of the techno scene they were there at the beginning and they are still rocker-ing out today - as fresh and as important as ever.

Next up we've got Marc Houle - one of our favourite guests and a man who has had people crying minimal tears outside the locked doors of Wax for his sell-out appearances. Tracks like Bay of Figs and Techno Vocals have set him apart from much of the whirring click nonsense that abounds the realms of Beatport these days. He is a killer killer live performer and will be picking the baton up from our third - "We" are tired just typing all this out - guest, Kevin Gorman - the International Deejay Gigolo and owner of Mikrowave label who last played at Wax in a showstealing performance before Oliver Huntemann. His Chemistry Lock album on Gigolo was sandwiched by several top releases on his Mikrowave lable both by himself and others such as Alex Under, Mark O'Broom & Phil Kieran. Opening things up at the ungodly hour of 10pm is club mascot, Dan McElligott.

There you have it - a live show from Alter Ego, a live show from Marc Houle, a DJ set from Kevin Gorman and a DJ set from Dan McElligott. It doesn't get much better. Needless to say, in true promoter-talk - the tickets for this one are selling extraordinarily quickly (they actually are) from several outlets such as Big Brother Records in Temple Bar, Spindizzy Records in George's St. Arcade, Tivoli Box Office on Francis St. and online at www.tivoli.ie. You can also PayPal us to electricitypromotions@eircom.net. Price is e25 all-in - no booking fees or extra for this one.
