Alves looks a good buy i agree, wonder how long he'll stick at Boro if he scores a few at the start of next season...

that is the expensive buy of the season in my books he is awsome but alves wasnt that much so fair play he might leave if he starts scoring loads but only for an price that matches his abilitie ...
southgate has proven that he can sign players what teams dont think aout getting thats a good sign in a new young manager

yeah i spose ur right there alves joined late so you cant expect him to be in the top ten this season but the premership has got so many talents init big names might not be much here .. .. torres is my clear winner

Santa Cruz had a great first half off the season, i was surprised he wasn't snapped up in the January window to be honest....

That's a very good shout, Sagna's been a very good buy for Arsenal, we've missed him lately. Torres has been very good, but expensive. Tevez hasn't been bought by United yet so I wouldn't count him.

I think Torres has only scored about 3 goals away from home though hasn't he?

Just for the record here.

Torres cost £21 Million.

Players off the top of my head who cost in the same region.

Carrick, Anderson, Rio Ferdinand, Drogba, Shevchenko, Hargreaves, Mascherano

These are all players round the £20 million mark or more.

I dont think any of the players above have had the impact that el nino has had in his first season.

£20 Million for 30 goals in his first season, that just under a million pound a goal, and some of these goals have kept us in the 4th place CL Spot and help us knock out arsenal in the qtr finals.. The amount of money made back from these goals, covers his fee alone...
