Biography DJ KAMMY:

The “TECHNO GIRL FROM IPANEMA,” 27 years old
Even though quite new to the profession,DJ Kammy is certainly one of today's most requested and commented on Brazilian DJs

Voted the 22nd Best Female DJ in the World

Her undeniable combination of talent, skill and unique style has put her in the 22nd place of the Top 100 Female DJs list, a poll organized by the British website Shejay that included DJs from all over the world and all genres, coming before worldwide famous names, as DJ Lucca, Sister Bliss (Faithless), and Lottie. The success in her career continues to grow in a steady and constant pace resulting in an extremely busy schedule and performances at the best clubs and parties around the globe.

Much More Than Just a Pretty

Beautiful and charismatic, she stands out for her extensive music research and precise mixing, creating a special and unique link to the crowd. "The research for new sounds is something that is constant in my work," says Kammy. The sweet girl with angel face proves her versatility with sets that explore different electronic music genres, going from techno, dark and its variations to flirting with electro and synth sounds. "I never limit myself to one style. A quality sound, with attitude, dance floor-oriented is what I try to convey in my sets," explains the DJ.

Dave Clarke Recommends

The compliments she's been receiving (Dave Clarke recommended her in an interview when asked about new DJs) and her touring around the world (Latin America, Europe, and Asia) are the biggest rewards for her, who has been getting attention and recognition wherever she goes, becoming so young a reality in the worldwide electronic music scene.

Debut in Europe/Asia:

Very few South American artists succeed in transcending the Asian and European borders and rocking the most famous dance floors in the world. Thanks to globalization, this situation has been changing, which enriches the music scene and makes it possible to expose new talents, opening the industry up to new tendencies coming from all parts of the globe.
DJ Kammy is one of these artists who's been able to call attention from partygoers and music lovers across the planet with her musicality and talent, giving her great reviews and feedback in the most important and influential music discussion communities everywhere, and invitations to play at events and venues in several parts of Europe, Latin America and even Asia. Her first European tour happened in May, 2005. She initially played in Belgium and France at famous electronic music spots. Among them, the legendary Rex Club in Paris at the prestigious Automatik night; at the Session and also at the widely known Belgium radio Studio Brussels, which often welcomes legends as Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier to play at their studios. The event gathers some of the most renowned DJs in the electronic music scene, as Chris Liebing, Misstress Barbara, the best VJs in Europe, and travels to different cities around the world.

In 2006,DJ Kammy went on another tour in Europe and also Asia, playing at an incredible total of 18 events in a little more than 2 intense months of hard work, with gigs at important clubs and big festivals, as thePukkelpop Festival in Belgium, where she performed as Dave Clarke's guest in the tent he organized. "I was really happy to see my work being recognized by one of my favorite DJs," she says.
