been searching high and low for a lappy and its starting to do ma head in...

basically looking for a notebook, 2gb of ram, good processor and with WINDOWS XP.....

cheap as possible also....its just for serato but has to be small n compact....

dunno who to stay away from??, if a could get it for £500 - £550 a would b a happy chappy...

a no the laptop thread has prob been dun a million times but any help would be gratefull...

best bet would be to b8uy 2nd hand - you'd get a really top spec laptop for that price 2nd hand. just make sure it comes with xp and wipe it clean yourself. also, if possible, bring someone who knows lappies to check it over for you.

in the new price range you'll be very lucky to find an xp machine as microsoft push vista onto OEM machines.

You can get a decent spec Toshiba from Currys for less than £500.

It will probably come with Vista though, so you'll need a copy of XP to stick over the top.

aye was checking curry's theve got sum good laptops....esp those refurbished ones...

found a dell notebook, 2.10 ghz duel core, 3gb ram, 100gb hd with windows xp for £500 so went with that - one of those 14 inch laptops so pretty pleased with tht
